May the peace of the season be reflected in your soul; may the memories you hold dear visit you during this holiday season.

I heard the bells on Christmas day,

Their old familiar carols play,

And wild and sweet,

The words repeat,

Of peace on earth, good will to men.

- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The West Champlain Family Health Team is grateful to the Indigenous Health Circle (which works in collaboration with The Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn and the Ottawa Valley Ontario Health Team) for sharing a meaningful land acknowledgement both in English and Omámíwininímowin (the Algonquin Anishinábe language), which is the basis of our own.
