Showing Up

One of the biggest ways that we can love and support someone unconditionally is to show up for them. It is about consistency and stability; being reliable. Here are some ways that we know if we are on track for living in these values:
Actions speak louder than words. If you say you are going to do something, follow through.
Being there not only for the good times, but for the tough ones as well. We all struggle at different paces.
A steady effort; consistency is linked to a secure feeling, one that says “You can count on me.”
Pay attention to what matters to the people you love; for some it might be active listening, for another it might be dropping in with a cup of coffee for a visit, for others it might be a slow walk on a wooded path.
Be predictable; if someone knows to count on you it is because they can predict you will.
Be intentional; when we move and act with purpose, we send out the message that we are reliable.
Loving someone unconditionally also requires you to give the same grace to yourself. When we move from a position of self-love and respect, we can include others as we wish to be treated in return.
